A Paw Patrol Dinosaur Rescue 4th Birthday Party (Modern & Minimalist Aesthetic)
My Paw Patrol–obsessed little boy has been counting down to his Dinosaur Rescue–themed birthday party pretty much all year. When the boy loves something, he really loves it & he knows exactly what he wants. Clearly, he appreciates a good party theme just like his mama!
This year, we leaned into his favorite Paw Patrol adventure while keeping things modern, clean, and intentionally simple. I had so much fun customizing the details ~ from the simple, yet thoughtful decor to the little personal touches ~ to create a celebration that felt both kid-approved and aesthetically pleasing. Turning four feels like such a big milestone, and with time flying by faster every year, it felt extra important to slow down and truly celebrate this sweet stage. Every birthday deserves to feel special, and this one was no exception.

Here’s a look at how I styled Torin’s modern & minimalist Paw Patrol Dinosaur Rescue-themed birthday party ~

It was like Christmas morning all over again, as he ran down the stairs to see what his mama had made for his special day! Of course he had already peeked at the design on my computer (since I’m lucky enough to have my kiddos with me at all times these days), so it was fun for him to see it all come to life in our living room. By the way, a few loose balloons are a must for toddler parties, that way they are less tempted to grab from the backdrop!
the table

I decided to use earthy tones for this party, rather than the traditional Paw Patrol primary colors. I loved these sage green & white checkered plates from Zazzle, and used this pattern throughout the party details & in the backdrop design. I love how easy Zazzle makes it to transfer a design to multiple products ~ like the napkin rings & favor boxes I used. I added some personalized touches, like the custom logo design & personalized placemat for the kids to color.
These MeriMeri t-rex cups were perfect & added a pop of color to the table. I also am a big fan of the MeriMeri compostable utensils, and have used these wood & gold sets a few times. I used custom napkin wrappers which tied together the backdrop logo & checkered accents ~ and it made setting the table simple yet put-together.
Trader Joe’s is always my go-to for flowers, especially since I mainly just wanted some cool greenery at a reasonable price. I used these dino dig eggs as party favors & put a few extras on the table in some artificial moss.

food & drink
Dessert was a simple Wegman’s Ultimate Chocolate cake topped with this amazing handmade topper by 4HeartsPaperCrafts on Etsy. She makes beautifully detailed cake toppers and party decor ~ and can customize anything!

We also had custom cookies by the amazing Shell’s Sweets ~ so delicious and perfectly on-theme! (I wish I had more pics of these! 🙁 )

I had fun making these Paw Patrol stickers for the snack cups & served some homemade dip with a few veggie sticks in each one. We served pizza & fruit, along with these Paw Patrol Graham Snacks. The character drinks were a big hit too!
I didn’t end up using these labels since we decided to serve pizza, but I thought they were super cute! Click here to download & print on adhesive paper.
party favors

These favor boxes were a lot of fun to make & I kept favors really simple ~ a dino-dig egg and one of the custom cookies pre-wrapped. I didn’t grab many pictures of them unfortunately, but here’s some inspo pics I used to send to the cookie artist ~

Here’s a few other party goods & details that would work well with a Paw Patrol themed party ~ keeping with the minimalist & cool aesthetic!
This would be a fun activity to do for an outdoor Paw Patrol Dino Rescue party! A day or two before the party, prep the baby dinosaur eggs & store in the freezer, and at party time the kids can help hatch the babies by using spray bottles with warm water. Check out the full instructions here!
At the end of the day he told me it was everything he ever wanted & the best party ever ~ so I think that’s a win!
Now this mama can relax a bit heading into the new year! I’m so excited to bring to life some ideas that have been brewing ~ but first, some me time! And a quick trip to Utah to snuggle my new baby nephew. As always, I love hearing from you ~ leave a quick comment below, or send me a message.
